Cantabria is an autonomous region in northern Spain. It is located next to Asturias and shares most of the Cantabrian Sea. A special geographical point in the region is the Pico de Tres Mares. At this point, three rivers flow into three different seas: the Atlantic, the Bay of Biscay and the Mediterranean. Like Asturias, Cantabria has been inhabited for a very long time.
