Leiden is a real student city and is home to the oldest university in the Netherlands. The city has many interesting museums such as Naturalis, CORPUS and the National Museum of Antiquities. The old center of Leiden consists of many canals where boats cruise all day long. This is also a good way to discover the city. Every year the city celebrates Leids Ontzet.
