WHAT TO DO IN ALAND

Aland is a Finnish region consisting of a group of islands. The region lies between southern Finland and Sweden. The islands were already populated by hunters in the Stone Age. Today there is no hunting, but it is a popular spot for fishermen. The island has an airport in Mariehamn, but is also easily reached by ferries that run daily between mainland Finland and Sweden.
