Oh yes, the breakfast lived up to its reputation! Truly excellent with homemade cakes that were actually made in heaven! The residence is beautifully landscaped - we had our own outdoor table overlooking the gardens and pool area. The pool was beautiful and a very welcome feature after many very hot sights in Volterra. The host's information was very comprehensive and the whole place was beautifully clean and well run. We only drove to Volterra as it was too hot to walk but I think there is a shortcut to avoid the road. We loved Volterra, so interesting and so much to see. with many very good restaurants
