Swansea is a city in south Wales. The city was founded by Sven Gaffelbaard, a Viking leader who defeated the Saxons in 1013 and was in charge of southern England and other areas. During the Industrial Revolution the city was also known thanks to the large amount of copper in the soil. This gave the city the nickname “Copperopolis”. The town is a popular seaside resort and has a large circular beach where you can stay. As you follow the coast, you will automatically pass several bays, such as the beautiful Threecliffsbay.
