Southampton is located in the south of England and is the country’s largest port city. The place was inhabited since the Stone Age, later it became a Roman settlement and in the 11th century the Normans settled there. The city then became an important link between England and the Norman Kingdom. Southampton is also the place where the famous and fateful ship Titanic set sail.
