Denmark is a Scandinavian country located slightly above the Netherlands. It consists mainly of the Jutland peninsula and three other islands that make up the rest of the country. The country is part of the European Union but has retained its own currency: the Danish krone. Just like the Netherlands, Denmark has a constitutional monarchy and its head of state is Queen Margaret II. The Danish people are open and direct and have a lot in common with the Netherlands. The country has unique cultural influences that can be traced back to Viking times.
