Breda

Breda is a large city in the province of North Brabant. It is not the capital of the province but is considered an important city. In the Middle Ages, Breda was owned by the King of Spain between 1567 and 1637. The city was then retaken by the Dutch Republic. In the last century the city was again occupied by the Nazis, the city was eventually conquered by Polish soldiers under the leadership of Stanis? Aw Maczek freed. Today Breda is a beautiful city. It has an active nightlife, a number of historic churches and castles, and fine museums and theaters.
