Things to do in Lake District
Lake District is the name of a large national park in the northwest of England. It is located in the county of Cumbria. It is one of the most mountainous national parks in England. The active holidaymaker can brave the rugged nature by mountain climbing or kayaking. Quieter holidaymakers can make beautiful walks or sail on the large lakes that Lake District has such as Lake Windermere. The area is also the home of writer and cartoonist Beatrix Potter. She is the author of the Peter Rabbit children's books and liked to be inspired by the beautiful landscape.
